Did you know…
It takes, on average, 6–12 years to receive a diagnosis of endometriosis.
The average age of ADHD diagnosis in women is 32.
Our menstrual cycles can increase the risk of injury.
Women and girls are twice as likely to have asthma as men.
1 in 3 Australian women experience anxiety.
Until 1993, women were largely missing from medical research.
And heart disease is the leading cause of death in women—in part because our symptoms often look different to men’s.
Every year, we host an awareness round for women’s health, and we want to hear from you. If your health has ever impacted how you participate in netball—or if netball has played an important role in your day-to-day life—we’d love you to share your experience with us.
If you’re willing to answer a few questions and have your answers shared on our socials pop our page a message or email our publicity officer Hayley at enapublicity@outlook.com
You don’t have to tell us your health condition or experience when first contacting us, just that you’re interested. And if you contact us and choose not to take part we won’t tell anyone.
Answers/experiences will be shared on our public Facebook and Instagram pages. Each story will include relevant links from the WA Government Health Direct website or similar.
